Malaka!!
Posted: Wednesday, March 31, 2010 by GGdTJJ inIt's actually Melaka, or Malacca, but I just feel fun to call it Malaka!!
This is a NO-picture post, you can find all of them in my facebook profile. There's just too many of them to select from.
So, it was a trip, organised in celebration of Jackie's birthday, and 14 turned up, with 12 of them setting off early in the morning of Saturday. How does the remaining two make it to Malaka then (knowing that most of them, not most of them, is ALL of them, will be coming from the north of Malaka, be it Nottingham, Seremban or even far from Ipoh!)?
Is it parachute? Is it by helicopter? I know I know, it must be from hovercraft!!
The answer is bicycle..... 's good friend - a car la..
So, Kee and I set off during the evening to meet them up for dinner for some circumstances.
My first meal in Malaka is from a restaurant call Wok & Pan who serves Nyonya food. But the main point of the meal is that, no Wok & Pan is served together with the meal, and NONE of our meals are Nyonya! So it was pork chop for me and I enjoyed it, excellent price as well although poor serve of drinks!
Then it was a care free session in the villa that we rented! Most of my friends started off with beers and I quickly set up my defence not to have any liquor (although I was quite certain on that night I will fail in defensing!). Playing cards~~~~ But it wasn't long that people start to bug me for beers, and I finally take a sip of Heineken, and what is this kind of thing. It doesn't taste good, and why is it so popular??
Alright, the Heineken is not the big deal, I can still play cards in clear minds and win and win and win! I am good in Big 2 Dee!!
Walking around seeing my friends starting to get drunk, and finally, I can't escape a quarter small cup of Jack Daniel (mixed with Heineken?? whatever...)...
Okay yes, this was bad as well. I can't understand a tiny bit of why people will like this kind of thing......
So, I thought it's just what's about liquor.. but there's more of it...
Sitting down with my friends chit-chat-ing and I suddenly found out my face started to get hot!!!
And my friends confirmed my face turning red...
And I know what's going on afterwards, ok? Not drunk yet, and not drunk on that night!
I became to be care free, I did things more carelessly, I spoke more carefreely, I wasn't as stealth as I was.. So, I went on for True & Dare session, I went on for a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 session (and found myself extremely skilled somehow), and also, seeing my friends getting drunk, this and that... AND I DON'T TAKE ANY EXTRA LIQUOR!
Now I know, why people take liquor.. It makes you daring to do things that you don't dare to do before.. I was having thoughts of speaking a lot of stuff that I wouldn't have spoken on, and I feel fortunate to hold them off the dam from flowing out from my mouth!
So, it's an experience... whether I want more liquor? No thanks, unless extremely necessary.
Okay, then it was the 2nd day of the trip where we spent our time mostly in the A'Famosa Waterworld. The very first opinion I had is the reason why, WHY, WHHHHYYY must all those water facilities being built so high up and the only way to access it is by climbing stairs, but no lift... It's tiring to play again and again, by climbing again and again.. Fatigue came due to excessive climbing, not playing!!
So, we tried the shorter one, then the taller one, taller and taller until the finale, the tallest tube, S shape one, and I believe have 4-5 storey tall at least. It just takes forever to climb up there.
Climbing up wasn't scary, standing up there wasn't scary.
When you sat at the starting point, and start flowing down with the water, I still felt easy because the blue sky and clouds are just above me. Wow, the next scary things came. I flew~~~~~ and BUMP! hit back to the tube and followed all the way down to the end track. Ouch, my butt was painful!!
But, that's very exciting, and without further ado, the men went up again.
Again, a long climbing...
And going down again. This time, not so scary as you knew what will happen to you, and you flew again~~~~~~~~ but hey, why isn't my falling to the ground yet, hey? HEY? bump!!
Aww, my flying time was longer this time, adding new spices into this round...
It was fun!!
so, next round, next round?
NO, I was tired of climbing for 5 minutes to go up while it takes like 5 seconds to come down.
And seeing my friend's scared response on top, I knew why there wasn't lift. Because it will also take 5 minutes to walk down! So 5 minutes of walk down or 5 seconds of scary moment? You be the judge to choose!
Okay, finishing up the Waterwold and we set off to Seremban, to taste the nice food here. It wasn't really a lot to try out, but every of them was in ecstasy when we were in the Siew Pow City! Hahaha, some of my friends were even like a small child in a candy house! Nice one.. followed by the ever famous roasted crab of Seremban. (I didn't know it was famous...) Seems like my friends set a high bar on the roasted crab but the restaurant failed to impress them. Nonetheless, the Coconut Chicken came to be their favourites and proud to have them enjoy their meal in a place I recommend.
Alright, so far so good, still keeping at least one post every month!
